Privacy Policy — Nurafiq

Nurafiq ("the app") is developed to help users listen to, read, and memorize the Quran. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it's used.

What the app accesses, and why

• Location (optional, only if you tap "Set location"): used solely to compute prayer times for your area. Stored only on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
• Microphone (optional, only when you tap "Record" on the Memorize screen): used to record your own recitation so you can play it back and compare. The recording is stored temporarily on your device and is never uploaded or shared. Discarding a recording or closing the app removes it.
• Internet: used only to stream Quran recitation audio from a public, third-party Quran-audio hosting service (everyayah.com). No personal data, location, or recordings are ever sent over this connection.

What the app does NOT do

• No account or sign-in.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No advertising.
• No data is sold or shared with third parties.
• No data is transmitted to any server operated by the app's developer — there isn't one; the app has no backend.

Data storage

All app data (Quran text, memorization progress, saved preferences, recordings) is stored locally on your device using Android's standard app storage. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
